This is a fascinating antique Victorian dolls house, named ‘Heather’s House’, that has so many unusual features including internal plumbing and a working fireplace. It was manufactured circa 1880.

Owner’s comments:

This is my mystery house. The house is called ‘Heather’s House’ because it was left in the shed of Heather’s bungalow after she left the property. The lady who bought the property let her children play with it for a while before I bought it.  It is a very unusual house in that it has a working fireplace in the downstairs room.  It also has a ceramic tank in the loft of the house and pipework to a tap in the downstairs room.  I don’t think it is the original tap as it is much too large. The tap has been painted shut. The windows all have rollers for roller blinds and the little stairs up to the balcony have stair rods for carpet fitting. There is a back door to the house with a latch and part of a roller towel holder. The roof has windows that look into the loft, one is a lifting window and one a sliding window.  There is a space under the house which may have been for a tank to take the water from the tap in the kitchen or for a sliding garden feature.
