G & J Lines No.17 antique Edwardian dolls house manufactured between 1905 and 1914

Owner’s comments:.

Lines Brothers number 17 first appeared in the 1905 catalogue described as “Country Villa. 4 rooms, open at both sides with pretty porch and chimney pots and veranda. Price 19 shillings and 9 pence” ( Catalogue details curtesy of Marion Osbourne) According to Marion this model was only available from 1905 to 1914. By 1910 the price had gone up to 32 shillings. From 1910 the colour scheme was white all over with some gold details. Prior to 1910 they usually had brown a roof and brick detail. the green roof and green details is rare. This house also has the original pressed tin fireplaces and oil cloth floors.
