‘Swift’s Cabin’ antique home made dolls house circa 1920.
Owner’s comments:
This house is made from an American WWI army rations packing case, however, it is not known what era it was made into a dolls house.
Although the previous owner had painted over it, in a good light the words SWIFTS PLATE BRAND M& V RATIONS a a just be seen.
Swifts plate brand refers to Gustavus Swifts meat processing factory in Argentina, on the River Plate founded in 1855.
The house is furnished mainly in items from the WWI era.
