Vintage French homemade dolls house circa 1930.
Owner’s comments:
Here is the French house, homemade, around 1930, made from a wooden box of “Lux” soap (sturdy wood). It’s rare to find houses made in France, even homemade like this one; also it’s not insignificant that it comes from Alsace. The house arrived furnished with furniture also handcrafted, just like the pendant lights or iron boxes in the kitchen. The key to the door between the living room and the kitchen works. The person who made this house knew how to work with metal. I added some furniture to the ground floor and changed the bedroom furniture which I found a little too imposing for my taste. A Caco family from the 1950s lives there now.
P.S.the first photo of the interior shows how it looked when it arrived.
